The world’s most innovative simulation products: Simulaids heads to ASPiH in Edinburgh

A hyper-real manikin which blinks and sweats, and a brand new virtual reality headset, are just two of the new products Simulaids are showcasing at the ASPiH conference next week.

The Association for Simulation Practice in Healthcare (ASPiH) conference is the UK’s biggest annual event for medical simulation, and brings together healthcare experts, academics and manufacturers of simulation products from across the nation.

ASPiH 2024 is taking place at Edinburgh International Conference Centre from 3-5 November, and Simulaids are exhibiting a range of cutting-edge new products with a number of our partners.

ADAM-X, for example, is a new high-fidelity manikin from Dutch manufacturer Medical-X, which represents a faithful reproduction of a man’s anatomy and physiology. The manikin is built with distinctive unique human characteristics, such as skin which perspires, eyes which blink like a human’s, and pupils which react to light and touch.

MVR-Nursing, on the other hand, is completely different. A Virtual Simulator with a headset like an Oculus, the product replicates clinical scenarios for medical training through virtual reality, and comes direct from Nasco Healthcare in the USA.

Simulaids are exhibiting on Monday and Tuesday at ASPiH alongside representatives from Nasco, Medical X and SkillQube, with products on show from other manufacturers including BT Inc, ENF Korea and Accurate. A wide range of manikins and skills trainers will be available to try out, in some cases alongside their designers and manufacturers, so the conference is an ideal opportunity to get hands-on with some of the most innovative simulation products in the world.

Simulaids also have surprise to unveil too – a cutting-edge new product developed by our own brand CliniSim, which we will be launching at the conference.
