The functional head represents a six-month-old infant.
This model provides realistic sensation and response. The lifelike vinyl skin actually rolls as you palpate to allow the location of the vein. The synthetic rubber tubing for the veins gives a lifelike simulation of vein size and the feeling of puncture and palpation for practising venipuncture. The neck, a soft, flexible foam, allows for a realistic feel of palpation and puncture.
The temporal vein of the Lifeform Paediatric Head is easily accessible for IV infusions. Practise in the jugular vein is equally realistic.
