The set consists of six separate pelvic blocks. The external appearance of all six blocks is identical, with the variations being in the internal structure. The internal texture, tissue density and correct anatomical size are all carefully represented to provide the most realistic condition possible. Students will gain a tactile understanding of no dilatation, 2 cm, 5 cm, 7 cm, 9 cm, and effacement conditions.
The simulators depict six different cervical conditions prior to birth. Each stage represents:
1 – No Dilation, no Effacement
2– 2cm Dilation 50% Effacement
3 – 2cm Dilation, full Effacement
4 – 5cm Dilation, full Effacement
5 – 7cm Dilation, full Effacement
6 – 9cm Dilation, full Effacement
