Simulaids have been presented with a Silver Award in the Armed Forces Covenant’s Employer Recognition Scheme.
The award, which was presented by HM Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire Mrs Elizabeth Fothergill CBE at a ceremony recently, recognises businesses and organisations with positive policies towards Defence people issues and employing ex-forces personnel.
Organisations, for example, must demonstrate that the Armed Forces community are not unfairly disadvantaged as part of their recruiting and selection processes, and show support towards Reserves and the Cadet movement.
Receiving the award on behalf of Simulaids were Chris Young, CEO, and Ryan Young, Managing Director. Ryan said:
“It’s a wonderful accolade for the company to receive this award, recognising the importance to us of being a friend to the UK Armed Forces, and the work we’ve done to advocate for employees or prospective employees with military backgrounds.
“We want to make every effort to ensure veterans, reservists, cadets and those from military families don’t face barriers in their career.”
