Description
Complete Ostomy Care Simulator
The Ostomy Care Simulator helps instruct students or patients about how to recognise, clean and maintain different types of ostomies. The anatomy of the ostomies is carefully reproduced to provide lifelike functions and appearance.
The skin is made of realistic, flesh-like material and soft, pliable material for the stomas in order to achieve the most realistic tactile sensation.
Demonstrate and practice dilation of the stomas, along with the application of postoperative and permanent ostomy bags. Practice fitting, cleaning and changing the pouching system.
Two of the ostomies are functional, which also adds to realism when used with the included simulated stool. The simulator consists of three locations to place the interchangeable stomas (healthy, double barrel, prolapsed and necrotic stomas).
The healthy and necrotic stomas are suitable for irrigation furthermore simulated stool can be pumped to provide drainage and excretion at the ostomy. There is a permanent, retracted stoma to practice ostomy care procedures on stomas sunk below skin level.
In addition, add infection around an ostomy with the supplied infection tissue roll.
