Description
Retracted Ostomy Care Training Model
A retracted stoma is one that is pulled into the abdomen instead of on the outside of the body. This model assists in training techniques in pouch changing, cleaning and caring for this type of stoma.
This model is ideal for the demonstration and practice of ostomy care procedures on a stoma that has sunk below skin level, including cleaning and changing the pouching system.
Features:
Dilation of the stomas
Irrigation of Ostomy
Application of postoperative and permanent ostomy bags on stomas (that can often be difficult to obtain a good seal around).
Pump simulated stool through the unit to provide drainage and excretion at the ostomy using the included syringe.
Vary the consistency of the stool by adding water to thin the material.
