By making their own incision into the soft, lifelike pad, students and instructors can create a traditional episiotomy or nearly any type of first- through fourth-degree lacerations.
Embedded within the tissue are discreet structures representing the bulbocavernosus muscle, transverse perineal muscle, and external anal sphincter.
These muscles are suitable for cutting and repairing individually just as they would be in a real patient. Although this trainer has an incredibly soft, realistic feel; the simulated tissue will remain tough and resilient through many training sessions.
A recommendation is that the pad is suitable for one incision in the muscle area. Replacement pads are available individually and in packs of 3.
