COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Information for Customers

Dear Simulaids Customers,

In the 20 years we have been serving the healthcare community, we have never known a situation quite like the one we are all facing now. The Coronavirus outbreak is disrupting everyone’s lives and we are doing our best to ensure our customers’ activities are not too adversely affected, but these are unprecedented circumstances.

In line with the Government’s Guidance for schools, childcare providers, colleges and local authorities in England on maintaining educational provisionour work is considered key to the “support and specialist staff required to maintain the UK’s health and social care sector; those working as part of the health and social care supply chain, including producers and distributers of medicines and medical and personal protective equipment.”

Nevertheless, we are observing strict social distancing advice and the vast majority of our staff are working remotely, with only a critical few staffing our offices to facilitate deliveries arriving and being despatched safely.

Dear Customers,

We are in the business of ensuring everyone, from first responders to medical hospital staff, is ready. In the midst of this coronavirus outbreak, we want to keep you up to date on what we are doing on our end to mitigate infection risk, and our recommended protocols for product sanitation to ensure we keep our frontline healthcare workers safe.

Our Manufacturing
Our two production plants are in Wisconsin and New York, we are ISO 9001 certified, as we consistently meet the international standard for a quality management system (QMS). Our products are 100% made in the USA.

Our People
Our staff and those who handle the products we deliver follow disinfection and sanitation protocols recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for medical devices.

Our Recommendation
We recommend, as always, to regularly sterilize all training manikins and simulators. Chemical disinfectants for patient-care equipment include: alcohols, glutaraldehyde, formaldehyde, hydrogen peroxide, iodophors, ortho-phthalaldehyde, peracetic acid, phenolics, quaternary ammonium compounds, and chlorine. We recommend you follow your clinic and hospital guidelines for the type of disinfectants used.
